Today was emotional. It's difficult to put into words the extreme polarization of this country; the distance between family members at the outcome of the most recent election and the struggles to understand the other side. But across the world today millions of women and men came together to make their voices heard, whether it was for climate change, equal pay, or healthcare. I spent my time in NYC marching in midtown and it was beautiful to see so many people together walking for what they believe in. I was struck deeply by the sense of love and community that overflowed within the streets; there was minimal negativity, lots of smiles, pure passion. It was inspiring to see the motivation to do more, and I hope this is just the start. I tried to capture some of the energy today below, but I don't think I quite got it.
